Heidelberg area Germany

There see so many sights in Heidelberg on the Neckar River and Baden Baden; the beautiful spa resort in the Black Forest. I left Koblenz by T Express, which followed the Rhine River all the way to Mainz. The Rhine was not as wide or as pretty as I had expected. The Moselle is more scenic and unspoiled. Along the Rhine are vineyards, some forest, hay fields, market gardens and industry. I saw three castles on the way perched on the top of hills. On reaching Heidelberg, I took the tram from the station to the far end of town near the Castle and climbed the steep path and stairs that led to the castle on top of a high hill overlooking the whole city and the river. I took some photos and went inside the Castle Gate. The Apocathy Museum has all the very interesting apparatus and medicines that the chemists used a few centuries ago. to read more of my travels buy book One of Travel in a changing world from this website cheers Gerard
